Why we started SteadyLoop Solutions

Small businesses keep being told to adopt AI, then sold either enterprise consulting or another tool to manage themselves. We think there is a third option, and it is the one we are building.

There is no shortage of advice telling small businesses to adopt AI. There is a serious shortage of anyone willing to do it for them.

That gap is the entire reason this studio exists.

What is actually on offer right now

If you run a business with fifteen or fifty staff and you go looking for help with technology, you find two things.

The first is consulting built for enterprises. Discovery phases measured in months, a workshop series, a transformation roadmap, and a price that quietly assumes you have a procurement department. It is often genuinely good work. It is also aimed at organisations a hundred times your size, and it is priced for them.

The second is tools. An enormous and growing pile of them, each with a free trial, a dashboard, a list of integrations to configure, and a subscription that renews whether or not anyone logged in this month. The tools are not bad. Some are excellent. The problem is what buying one actually hands you: a second job. You now own a system that somebody has to learn, connect, maintain, and eventually explain to whoever replaces them.

So most businesses do the sensible thing. They wait. They keep rebuilding quotes from a copy of last month’s spreadsheet, keep answering enquiries out of a shared inbox, keep retyping the same order details into three systems, and keep reading that they are falling behind.

They are not being unreasonable. They are being asked to become software operators as a condition of getting any benefit at all.

What we think is true instead

Small and mid-sized businesses do not need an AI strategy. They need specific jobs done.

A quote drafted from an enquiry instead of rebuilt by hand. An enquiry sorted and routed the moment it arrives instead of found next Tuesday. A document read and turned into a record. A follow-up that sends itself. A report that builds on a schedule rather than on a Friday afternoon.

Each of those is small. Together they are most of the week.

And they need those jobs done for them. Not enabled, not empowered, not unlocked. Done. The thing that gets handed over should be a working system, not a login and a wish of good luck. If our work creates one more dashboard for someone to babysit, we have added to the problem we set out to solve.

That is an unfashionable position, because selling software scales more neatly than doing the work. We would rather do the work.

What we are building

SteadyLoop is an AI consultancy that stays to build it. We work out where AI genuinely helps in a business — and say so when the answer is nowhere — then build it: the workflows, the automation that feeds them, the software they run in, and the site in front of all of it. Done-for-you engagements, not a product and not a subscription.

The part we are proudest of is not something we sell. It is something we use.

When you book a discovery session with us, we send you a link to our in-house AI discovery agent. Before we ever speak, it interviews you: what your business does, which systems you already run, where work piles up, what a good outcome would look like. It takes about ten minutes, you can do it from your phone, and you answer in your own words.

We built it because of a pattern we could not stop noticing. The first half of every consultation gets spent on extraction — a consultant asking questions a form could have asked, while the client repeats context they have explained five times already. It is the least valuable half hour in the whole process, and both people are paying for it.

So we moved it. The interview happens before the call, the answers are already organised when we arrive, and the meeting starts at the interesting part: what to do about it. Nothing is forgotten between the conversation and the plan, because nothing had to be remembered.

That is also our test for everything else we build. We run it on ourselves first. If a tool is not good enough for our own process, it has no business being billed to a client.

How we intend to prove it

By showing the work, and only the work.

We have delivered for Lifeline Billing: a new marketing site, plus the publishing and marketing platform behind it, so their team ships content and runs outreach without waiting on a developer. That case study is on this site, and it will get more specific as we are able to say more.

Here is what you will not find here. No invented client names. No testimonials we did not earn. No logo wall of companies we have never worked with. No “trusted by hundreds of businesses” while the number is one. No percentage saved that we made up because it sounded credible.

Where we have a number we can stand behind, we will publish it. Where we do not, we will describe what we built and let you judge it. Some of our case studies will be less impressive than a competitor’s, precisely because theirs are easier to write when accuracy is optional.

We are early. We would rather say that plainly than perform a scale we do not have. What being early actually buys you is attention: we take on work we can do properly, and you deal directly with the people building it.

If any of this sounds like your week

Book a discovery session. It is free, it takes thirty minutes, and there is nothing to prepare.

You will get the interview link first, and afterwards a written roadmap: what we would build, in what order, and what each piece changes for the business. That roadmap is yours to keep. If you take it and build it in-house, or hand it to somebody else entirely, that is a perfectly good outcome and we will not chase you about it.

Stay in the loop. Stay ahead.

Stay in the loop. Stay ahead.

Your discovery session starts before we even meet.

Tell us about your business in a two-minute form and our AI discovery agent will interview you before the call, so we arrive already understanding it.
